Ive had such an interesting 2 weeks!! sort of a mini rollercoaster ride. though its been a lot of work, and sometimes i dont know where the strength comes from, I look back and cant remember the pain and stress. im only glad i was a part of the special day of these beautiful darlings!!! Thursday April 5th I did Nkechis makeup. Dami couldnt follow me to Dubai for Tola Oyeleke (now Okusanya) which made me quite sad as Dami is the best assistant Ever! she makes my life easy, knows what makeup item i am thinking of using even before i belt it out to her...sadly she waved me goodbye at the airport. i was on my own till i saw ayo and ayeesha (on their way to dubby as well) at the airport .
Tolas wedding was on the 7th and it started at 7pm at the beautiful The Address Downtown. Words fail me so i cant describe the beauty of the grand ballroom (just trust me when i say it was the most beautiful place with sparkling lights and an out of this world ambience!, the food(Oh my!!) and the lovely people in the room that evening. Irwin was there to assist me and he did an awesome job with the hair--as soon as we both calmed down and worked as a team. the Leo in me bossed him into doing what i wanted the way i wanted but as professionals behave  he infused his own style into it, calmly ignoring me at times..loll. it ended well, Tola looked BEAUTIFUL in her KOSHIBAH Corsetted dress. I tried a dark lipstick look first, but she returned and told me to wipe it off!!---'''Banke please i want pale lips pls--i dont like this dark lip thing...2 seconds later she was happy as a lark with lashings of MAC CULTURED Lipglass. And off she went to fete her guests, partying the night away in her confirmed 'Mrs'' status. 4am that sunday morning i was on the flight back into Lagos.

6.30 am on Easter monday the 9th i was with Yinka. Now yinka had her look planned and we went over it over and over again. Vintage for the white wedding, orange for the engagement. she ran a bit late (which bride doesnt ) as the engagement and weddding were on the same day. From Yinka i was off to Modupe in lekki. Eneh (BMPRO Head Hairstylist) had finished her curly hairdo-Using the Trusted TAJHAIR) and as i put finishing touches to her lips, my work was done for the day.

WOW Magazine had scheduled the cover photoshoot for Tuesday and as i woke up to Ezinnes text''banke please start coming. The Models are here"" I was tired!!!! but as images of the finished photos flashed in my mind, i knew i had to get there fast. i was working with KELECHI AMADI OBI-- Yaaaaaayyyyy. The Models were so many i temporarily cried (or whined more like!) once again i had Dami with me, all was well. fast forward hours later we were done and i cannot wait for WOW to hit the streets.. I promise you willl love it too!
Im loving Lala Vasquez at the moment! whoever does her makeup does an amazing job with her smokey eye... i have promptly asked Bisola K Daisi who is friends with her to enquire the eyeshadow ...i absolutely love it!. so when Alero my bride this morning asked if i could put up her hair for her Temashe (hope i got the spelling right!!!!) what did i do? images of lalas updo flashed in my head and tadaaaaa. im almost tempted to go braid my hair like Aleros as of today.lol.
To all our beautiful clients today who stopped by the studio, i say a Massive THANK YOU! hope you rocked your events and the compliments flowed...- Buky T, Abi, Steph, Temi Remi Adeoye, Bimbo, Banke and the list goes on.....
Finally Saturday 14th April, i realised one can journey from Ajao Estate (where i had gone to do Fola Bisiriyus makeup) to federal Palace Hotel in VI within 15 minuites!!! my driver made it happen. (I doubt that he reads blogs but a massive shout out to him too.lol) a frantic Mrs Ibru waited for me as i finished her makeup in record time. and she made it to church on time for her sons wedding *dancing*,to round off my busy morning my godmother called to enquire my wherabouts as i rounded up in Ikeja at Aleros. Tunde Flew us back to ikoyi and as the adrenaline wore off, i was happy everyone was sorted. it was a fabulous tiring running -from- pillar-to-post- day!
